DIY Assembly

Ready to set up your brand new garden shed, but don’t know where to start? Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! We’ll walk you through the steps and give tips on how to best assemble it yourself.

Want to tackle a DIY timber project? Our simple installation guide makes it easy for anyone with basic knowledge of assembly to build the garden shed on their own. And if the task is more complex, don’t worry – our experts are just an email or call away, ready to help with garden sheds, log cabins, or any other bigger projects.

What to expect?

Before you start assembly, make sure to give your installation kit a thorough inspection. All the parts are marked with discreet identifications that match up with those in the manual—and we provide detailed part listings for each one so you can easily check off everything on your list (including descriptions, dimensions and quantities). Plus, there’s even an image of what it should look like. So take a few moments before getting started to ensure no surprises along the way.

Before you start working on your project, double-check that all the necessary pieces are there and of top quality. To prevent any unfortunate staining accidents, it’s best to lay out the parts on a pallet or some other dry surface – untreated wood can be particularly tricky to clean afterwards!

Tools You Will Need

You’ve done the hard work and prepped your kit for assembly – now let’s make sure you have all the right tools! No two sets are created equal, so depending on what you’re assembling, different specialist pieces may be necessary. But don’t worry – whatever it is you’re working with, we can guarantee that a basic toolkit will get things started off in style. You will need:

  • Work gloves
  • Multipurpose knife
  • Tape measure
  • Spirit level
  • Drill
  • Hammer
  • Rubber mallet
  • Stepladder

Before you get started on your installation, double-check that all the necessary tools are at hand! The full list is included in our helpful installation manual – make sure to give it a read before getting going.

Solid Foundation

Before you dive into setting up your new structure, it’s important to make sure that the foundation is secure! Don’t worry if you’re unsure – we’ve got all the information on foundations for our products over HERE. Preparing a solid base will be worth it in the end.

Garden buildings come in all shapes and sizes, so when it comes to installation you have plenty of options! You can go with concrete tiles or thermal blocks for a smaller building. For bigger structures, however, something stronger like a solid slab will do the trick – your garden’s foundation won’t budge even if winter throws its worst at it.

Get To Know The Instructions

Now you’re all set with the basics – take some time to read through the manual so that you can be totally prepared for every step during installation. To ensure you get the best out of your product, it is essential to follow all instructions in sequence. Skipping steps or attempting alternative methods may lead to a less-than-satisfactory outcome! The installation process has been specifically designed with each individual feature and requirement taken into account for maximum efficiency.

We want everyone to stay safe, so please make sure you follow all instructions carefully. If anything unfortunate occurs and the guidelines were not followed correctly, then we cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur.

Ready to get your project off the ground? We start with a strong foundation, then move on up through roofing and windows before completing it all with doors. Let’s build something great!

Roof Installation

To give your building the lasting protection it needs, follow our step-by-step instructions for assembling roof beams. After all, a strong and watertight roof is essential to keeping your structure in top condition!

Looking to get the most out of your purchase? We strongly suggest pairing up any product with a roof covering for maximum protection. Be sure it’s something that fits both aesthetically and functionally – wooden boards won’t be enough to protect from more severe weather conditions!

Installing Windows and Doors

When it comes to installing our products, a little extra attention goes a long way. Instead of directly screwing the doors and windows into construction frames as you would with other installations, we recommend leaving room for natural expansion or contraction, in order to avoid any potential damage caused by restricted movement.

Securely fasten your doors and windows with ease! Read the instructions for comprehensive insight on how to precisely position them in their frames.

Treatment for Wood

Give your wood the love it deserves with a beautiful, protective impregnation and painting treatment.

Keep your newly installed products strong and safe with some extra TLC! Give them each a coat of paint or top-notch preservative for protection within the first week, then annual treatments to keep up that long life. Don’t forget door & window frames too: they need their own layer of preserving care before opening day.

Make sure you’re extra careful with products that have been given special factory treatment, like heat-treated wood or paint. Everything comes with a maintenance kit and detailed instructions – so your new garden shed will remain looking great for years to come!
